Ideas For A Romantic Honeymoon

By Low Jeremy

Though a honeymoon is a chance for a newly married couple to spend some time together, celebrating their new life together, there is more to a honeymoon than simply picking a great destination; you need to find things to do. Even the most beautiful place can seem boring if you just sit around the entire time. Because a honeymoon is a romantic trip, what you need to do is find some romantic activities to spice up your time and to create some wonderful memories of this time in your life. To help you along, here are some ideas for a romantic honeymoon:

A Private Dinner

While your honeymoon destination is likely to have any number of great restaurants in the area, you can easily arrange a romantic, candlelit dinner in your own hotel room, allowing you to dine in privacy. A quiet dinner in your hotel room allows you to share some time with your spouse without anyone bothering you, and also gives you an evening where you don't have to worry about making arrangements for travel to a restaurant.

Practice Some Massage

Another great idea for a romantic honeymoon is to pick up a book on massage at your local bookstore before your trip, and to pack it with your travel guides and other materials when you go on your honeymoon. The touch that comes from a massage can be quite sensual and can be a way to share some closeness with your spouse. The relaxation and the nice feelings that a good massage can provide can help add to your romantic honeymoon.

Bring Some Candles

Another way to add to a romantic honeymoon is through the use of soft lighting, and little beats out candles for this. With just a few small votive candles, you can bring the light in your hotel room down to a nice, romantic level, perfect for enhancing the area around a Jacuzzi or around your bed. Either way, it sets the mood for quiet conversation or cuddling, providing a backdrop for a romantic evening.

Prepare Some Music

Whether you're using songs from your wedding reception, the first tune you and your spouse danced to, or just a mix CD of your favorite love songs, bringing along the right music can enhance the time you spend with your spouse. Just as a romantic meal, dim lights, or massage can set the tone for an evening, a night of quiet, romantic music or dancing in your hotel room can lead to a more romantic honeymoon. So when planning your honeymoon, keep these ideas in mind when you're getting ready to go, and you'll be able to add an extra spark of romance to make your honeymoon unforgettable

An Exotic Romantic Honeymoon Spot In Goa

By Peter Stewart

Romantic honeymoon packages to Goa have become popular recently, but many are disappointed by the beach resort they choose. Why not look at a place like Majorda, but don't look at a Majorda beach resort, instead look at the Vivenda dos Palhacos, and you won't be disappointed.

The Vivenda dos Palhacos is hidden away down a coconut fringed cul de sac in the village of Majorda where life is very peaceful and tranquil, not at all like the hustle and bustle of some of the beaches of Goa. It is a gem of a boutique hotel, set in a restored century old Portugese mansion, and is just a kilometre from the beach, but a world away.

The hotel, and that isn't really the best words to describe the Vivenda dos Palhacos, staying with friends in their private home would be much better, consists of two buildings are six double bedrooms.

If you can, then book the Konnagar Suite which is huge and has a verandah where you can sit for hours watching village life pass you by.

If you happen to have brought your children, although for an exotic and romantic honeymoon in this laid back part of the world, possibly children would find it less than to their taste. Anyway if there are children the small twin bedded Ballygunge would suit well, or the Chummery a self contained cottage for the whole family.

Some of the highlights of Vivenda dos Palhacos are the fixtures and fittings which are all in keeping with the history of the place.

You will love the food, and the surroundings. You eat either round a big table either set in the dining room or the garden, and the fact that it is real family style, with great hosts means great conversations, and friendships made. It would be fair to say that if your idea of a romantic exotic honeymoon is being on your own, then perhaps this wouldn't be for you. Mind you there are at least three very good restaurants in the main street of the village only a few minutes away.

Breakfasts are outstanding because it is served when you want it, early or late, nothing seems to be too much trouble, and that is the way it is all the time. You can eat alfresco lunches by the twelve metre pool, have picnics for the beach, and of course all the beach shacks where you can eat good food for very little

The beach is about a fifteen minute walk, and that is also part of the charm of Vivenda dos Palhacos, because you get the chance to see village life. After the sterile atmosphere of a large hotel it is so much more exotic, and adds to the romantic honeymoon getaway feel to be surrounded by the sights and sounds of Goa. Every day you hear the dogs bark, the cocks crow, bells ringing, neighbours talking in unfamiliar tongues, and trains passing in the night. It isn't just the sounds and the sights it is also the smell of wood burning, incense, food cooking, that confirms Goa is exotic and wonderful when you get away from the twenty first century, and the tourist hordes.

There is a great choice of activities from the flea market at Anjuna, to fishing, boat expeditions, bicycling, riding elephants to name but a few.

Vivenda dos Palhacos is a great boutique hotel, ideal for an exotic romantic honeymoon, providing you like people, and don't mind the sights and sounds and smells of life in Majorda Goa.

Romantic Honeymoon Destinations for a Lifetime of Memories

by Andrew Bicknell

There isn't a person in this world who does not wish to have a romantic honeymoon. This only makes sense since a honeymoon is considered to be the ultimate romantic vacation when newlyweds get to spend there first real time alone together. The problem becomes which destination is the most romantic for the task at hand? The answer will depend on the couple and which location appeals most to them. Many will already know where they want to go, but for those who are still undecided here are some ideas to make your first real vacation together truly romantic.

The first though that crosses most people's minds is someplace tropical. Moonlit walks on the beach, days spent relaxing in the warm ocean breezes with drinks on hand, candlelight dinners with the gentle sounds of breaking waves in the background, and a whole world of romance at every turn. Tropical honeymoons are hard to beat.

The first tropical place most people consider is Hawaii. You can choose to island hop or just spend your time on one island, enjoying the warm blue ocean waters along miles of beach. The Hawaiian people go out of their way to make each and every honeymoon one to remember.

For a more exotic romantic honeymoon the islands of the South Pacific such as Fiji or Bora Bora take the romantic experience to a whole other level. These islands will truly make you and your spouse feel like you have these beautiful locations all to yourselves. They are in an out of the way corner of the Pacific Ocean that will make a honeymoon a truly relaxing and wonderful experience.

For those who want to save some money but still want to experience a tropical honeymoon then Mexico is the place to go. For those who want to get away from the crowds of Cancun and Acapulco the Mayan Riviera is the place to go. With a multitude of all inclusive resorts the Riviera is a great way to enjoy tropical beaches without breaking the bank.

For a more home grown honeymoon there are plenty of romantic places right here in the United States. The advantage of this is obvious; no need for passports and everyone speaks the language.

If the lure of the big city with lots of glitz and glamour is your thing then Las Vegas and New York offer plenty of both. Las Vegas offers year round entertainment opportunities seldom found in other locations. Gambling, an array of different shows that will fit the entertainment needs of just about everyone, and a multitude of large hotels to choose from it is hard to go wrong with a honeymoon in the desert.

New York City offers a wealth of entertainment opportunities as well with Broadway shows and the always exciting Times Square. There is also the opportunity to eat at some of the most famous and romantic restaurants in the world along with world class hotels that are sure to make any honeymoon truly romantic.

For those who are looking for a culturally historic honeymoon then a trip to the old country, Europe, fits the bill. England, France, Spain, and Italy all have romantic overtones and surrounding oneself in the history and culture of these countries can make for a truly romantic adventure. There is a language barrier but this can work to the newlyweds favor, giving them a sense of being alone in a strange and exotic land.

Finding a romantic honeymoon destination is easy, the hard part is deciding which destination to choose because any of these choices will leave you with romantic memories that will last you and your spouse a lifetime.

Tips For Planning An Exciting Honeymoon

By: Adrian Adams

Getting married and going on a honeymoon are very exciting times. Yet too many people get so caught up in everything being perfect that they are stressed out on what should be a very enjoyable time. Since planning a wedding takes up so much time, the honeymoon should be the perfect opportunity for the newlyweds to relax and enjoy their time with each other.

The most important thing to consider for any honeymoon is your budget. You don't want to worry about the cost of it or you won't be able to fully enjoy it. Plan it in advance so you can get a great deal on it. Even if you can't afford to go far away, plan something fun and relaxing. There are wonderful bed & breakfasts located all over the place so you won't have too much trouble finding one.

Make sure your honeymoon plans include activities both of you enjoy doing. The whole point of the honeymoon is to spend your time together so make sure you will both like what is taking place. If you haven't been to a particular location before, make sure you have all the information you can find on it available. This way you can plan your trip accordingly. Be careful not to plan too many things to do so you can spend relaxing time together.

Make sure you have all of your documents needed for the trip. This may include passports, shots, photo ID, spending money, and anything else you need. Pack well in advance so you won't be rushed after the wedding to get your travel items prepared. It is a good idea to leave a copy of your itinerary and confirmation numbers with a trusted friend or family member so that you can contact them if you lose anything.

If you will be visiting another country for your honeymoon, you may find the culture to be very different. For example they may not approve of the public display of affection that many newlyweds engage in. Make sure you are willing to honor the cultural differences. If not, then choose a honeymoon location what this will be acceptable.

Most of all, enjoy your honeymoon. It should be fun and full of great memories. This is likely your first of many trips together as a married couple. As you start your life together make your honeymoon a very romantic and enjoyable time instead of one full to stress and too many activities.

Make You Own Honeymoon Specials And Save

By: Nathan Knightly

You may be in for a big case of sticker shock when comes time to pay for your honeymoon. A good honeymoon is expensive, and that is why a lot of people try to find deals when they are starting to plan where they want to go and how long they want to leave. You have to look into what you are getting even though there are a lot of honeymoon specials out there. Usually these specials are prepaid, and that means that you can't get your money back if you are not happy. Starting your marriage off in misery is not a good thing.

Some honeymoon specials are really incredible, and of course that is the reason why they vanish so fast. If you can, plan your honeymoon as far in advance as you can so you can take some time to find the special offers that are out there. If you can find honeymoon specials for places that you've already been to, then you know by now that you will like what you find when you get there. If you have never been to a certain place though, before you pay up, you want to make sure that it is a real deal.

Remember that the honeymoon specials don't have to have the word 'honeymoon' in them. Any type of vacation deal you can find can be a honeymoon special. Though some places have a suite just for honeymooners, you don't have to stay in one to find something divine. Honeymoon specials are only special if you can get a great deal and have an amazing time, but if you have run out of good options, you don't have to limit your holiday to something that is meant for newlyweds. A honeymoon is just a vacation with a fancy name. Remember that you can find some great deals out there.

Sometimes when telling somebody you are on your honeymoon you can get an even better deal though. You should keep that in mind when you are looking for honeymoon specials. Even though not everybody will give you an upgrade or even a price cut, there are some individuals who will do so. They put out honeymoon specials in hopes that you have such a good time that you will return a few times on your wedding anniversary to revive your special time together. Many places that I have been to hold special memories, and these are indeed the places that I return to time and time again. On occasion I do this to make sure I do not forget the place.
